I have been a practicing graphic designer for thirty years. After receiving a Grammy® nomination and multiple awards from the AIGA and American Center for Design 100 Show, I chose to leave my position as vice president creative director for MCA Records in Los Angeles to finish my formal academic education.

While leading a number of creative departments in Los Angeles, I had the pleasure to serve as adjunct lecturer at both Otis College of Art and Design and Art Center College of Design. These experiences suggested that a redirection of my energies toward teaching, while maintaining a select group of clients, would be a rewarding new trajectory.

Since completing my MFA degree in graphic design at University of Illinois Chicago in 2011, I have been teaching at Knox College: a private liberal arts college.
